Boost for Hills Community Support Group

The Hills Community Support Group has received a Lotterywest grant of more than $2million toward a new facility to support vulnerable members of the community. The Lotterywest grant will allow construction of Enterprise House and enhance the delivery of the group’s vital services for young people at risk. Enterprise House, to be built in Middle Swan, will deliver programs to young mothers seeking refuge from domestic violence and the administration of services for youth with complex needs. It will also house the Eastern Region Domestic Violence Services Network which supports families experiencing domestic violence. Child Protection Minister Robyn McSweeney said: “I commend the Hills Community Support Group for taking the lead role in reaching out to young people who need help.” The group’s Chief Executive Officer, Helen Dullard, said the Lotterywest grant would help realise a long-held dream of having a permanent home for its programs for young people at risk.
