Entry into the competition is free and open to anyone involved with homelessness services, whether they are clients, employees or volunteers. There is no specific theme for the artwork and it may be painting, drawing, writing, sculpture, crafts, street art or photography. All entries must be in by Monday, July 30.

The first and second-place winners of the Street-Light Art Competition will receive gift vouchers. Judging is to take place on Monday, August 6, at City Farm.

St Bartholomew’s House (http://stbarts NULL.org NULL.au/) decided to make the competition an annual event following their first art competition last year.

Homeless Persons Week is an annual awareness-raising week which starts on the first Monday in August every year. It is comprised of many events that aim to raise awareness about homelessness and aid those who are or are at risk of becoming homeless.
